As part of its ongoing reform, FAO has undertaken region wide stakeholder consultations in member countries to develop the so called National Medium-Term Priority Framework (NMTPF). The NMTPF is closely aligned with national development priorities as articulated in national sustainable development plans and based on an analysis of the national agriculture sector situation.

FAO provides the kind of behind-the-scenes assistance that helps people and nations help themselves. If a community wants to increase crop yields but lacks the technical skills, we introduce simple, sustainable tools and techniques.
