TAYLOR KNOX WINS FOUR SEASONS MALDIVES CHAMPIONS TROPHY

Written By: Marc - Sep• 05•13

In the surfing world, the name of Taylor Knox is already considered as an icon; he has built his reputation as one of the top surfers of his age. While he has become one of the most popular surfers these days, his journey to his success has never been easy.

Taylor Knox began surfing at 8 years old. When he turned 13, he and his family moved to Carlsbad, California and become a pro surfer. Unfortunately, he had to undergo back surgery after a damaged lumbar vertebra from a skateboarding accident when he was 15. The injury is too severe that it had threatened to paralyse him. It took him 6 months to fully recover.

Knox did not stop his dreams. He strived to improve and improve until he becomes one of the best. In 2011, he was inducted into the Surfers’ Hall of Fame at Huntington Beach alongside George Downing and Chuck Linnen.

His story is really inspirational. Lately, Taylor Knox added a new award to his resume by winning the Four Season Maldives trophy.
